 This
mural was the second commercial wallscape I completed
for a pet store
 in
the newly constructed Saucon Valley shopping mall, named
Paws to Tails.
 This
was by far my most challenging mural with respect to the
amount of
 detail
involved in the six different animals not only for the
obvious reasons
 regarding
their individual textures and consistencies, but also
where they
 are
positioned and placed throughout the mural itself.

 Each
animal painted is in fact an animal the owner of Paw to
Tails had
 once
owned or still does own to this very day. I tried to
not only paint each of them with the likeness in color
and coat, but also tried
 to
arrange them in positions in which he felt truly
captured their own distinct personality. I
 personally
am partial to the German Shepherd and the Labrador
Retriever,
 but
can’t help to feel that the overall disposition of the
short hair Calico in front does not say it all. |
