This mural was completed in the autumn of 2004.  Obviously this picture resembles the classical Pennsylvania Dutch covered bridge motif that can be found covering many of the roads in the Central Bucks-Mont area.  I have grown particularly fond of this painting because not only does it depict my favorite time of the year, but also it shows a slightly original look and feel I tried to create regarding the foliage of the trees.

I also believe that the implied texture and weathered colors of the bridge really help this feature not stand out too much as the central focal point.  Finally, I think that not only does the color and consistency of the calmly flowing “lazy” river really help to set the mood of this mural, but I also think the nursing doe to her fawn on the opposing side of the buck help this image have a very strong family oriented appeal.
