 This
was my second mural I completed in the fall of 2003.
This particular picture was an exciting painting to
 complete
because there was the challenge of trying to create an
image in which there
 was not only the
illusion of depth to gain the overall sense of breadth
of the rainforest, but there
 was also the aspect of
trying to gain the look of density found throughout a
rainforest. |

 I
also truly enjoyed creating the animals and trying
 to
strategically place them in very specific areas almost
as if they were hidden
 throughout the foliage. But
mostly, when I reflect back on this specific mural, I
cherish the position and
 expression of the silver back
gorilla for I
knew he would make or break this entire composition. |
